Marshall Motor Group Limited is not independent as we have pre-arranged contractual relationships with our lenders. We can introduce you to a limited number of lenders and finance products to assist you with your vehicle purchase. We act as agent of the lender, both when making this introduction and in the transaction. Our main relationships include the brand finance provider, Santander Consumer (UK) plc and Evolution Funding Ltd. We do not conduct a market appraisal and we do not choose from a panel of lenders.
We will only submit a finance application to a prospective lender with your consent and the information you provide to us must be accurate. The lender will carry out an affordability assessment and a credit check before making an offer of finance to you. Each finance application will leave a footprint on your credit file. We offer four different regulated insurance products: Vehicle Value Protection Insurance (“VVP”), Cosmetic Repair Insurance, Tyre Insurance & Alloy Wheel Insurance. All of our insurance products are optional, are not a condition of finance and come with cancellation rights both during the first 30 days (full refund) and after the first 30 days (pro-rata refund).
We will provide you with certain documents as part of our process. This will include our Status Disclosure Statement, Initial Disclosure Document and our Finance Commission Disclosure Statement. For each insurance product that you may be interested in and/or for which you are eligible you will receive an Insurance Product Information Document, statement of Price, Statement of Demands & Needs. For VVP (which is a type of GAP product) you will also receive additional key information. We are unable to arrange VPP for you during the first 24 hours.
We only offer insurance products from a single insurance provider. We do not conduct a fair market analysis of the insurance market. We act as agent of Car Care Plan who is the insurance administrator when offering and arranging insurance products under contractual arrangements. We may receive a commission from CCP for arranging insurance for you.
